Committed to accessibility, the foundation supports initiatives that open pathways to dance for all—regardless of background or training—and promotes the idea that dance is not reserved for the few, but belongs to everyone.
Through its annual Emerging Young Choreographer Award, licensing of Gloria’s work to professional companies, and monthly learning collaboratives for young dancers and choreographers, the Foundation extends her vision into the future—supporting bold new voices, fostering artistic excellence, and keeping Contreras’ work alive in studios, on stages, and in the hearts of those who dance.

Monthly On-Line Learning Collaborative for Young Dancers & Choreographers
A monthly online Zoom series for young dancers and choreographers interested in learning more about Gloria Contreras’ approach to dance and choreography. Each session offers insight into her methods, creative process, and teaching philosophy, with guest speakers from her company and artistic circle.
